The Government of Western Australia’s European Trade Office has gone live on Twitter.
The move will allow potential and current investors and migrants anywhere in the world to monitor the Office’s progress and events.
The twitter feed means the Government of Western Australia’s Europe Office will be able to deliver up to date information to stakeholders in Australia and Europe.
Agent General Kerry Sanderson AO will provide updates from time to time as she travels the region sharing the best news and information about trade, investment and migration opportunities in Western Australia.
“The Office is committed to identifying, promoting and facilitating export and business growth opportunities in WA,” she said.
“Getting involved in social media is just another way the Office can focus on facilitating relationships between industry groups, the Western Australian State Government and private enterprise.”
WA’s capital city, Perth, was recently listed 8th on The Economists 2011 list of most liveable cities in the world.
The state produces 44 percent of Australia’s exports, making the local economy the strongest in the nation, and lowering the unemployment rate to just 4.2 percent.
The state is also seeking thousands of skilled workers from Europe to migrate to WA to fill an estimated shortfall of workers.
Mrs Sanderson the Office’s Twitter feed would provide a unique opportunity to let potential migrants know about the opportunities in Western Australia.
