Tenders called: Perth City Link Project

A call for tenders for the construction of the Perth City Link – Rail project has been announced by the Public Transport Authority of Perth, Western Australia. The Northbridge Link project plans to sink the existing inner city rail line and bus station creating a 13.5 hectare site for redevelopment including a sizeable town square, terraced gardens and a dedicated cycle path. Premier Colin Barnett said, “This area of The Link project will play a central role in integrating Perth’s entertainment, cultural, shopping, employment and public transport areas.”

The final figure for the project is AU$600m and work to commence as early as the first quarter of 2011. More details about tender procedure can be found here.
