The annual G’day Uk showcase of Australian Business, culture and food has been rebanded Australive ahead of an expansion into Europe in 2011.

The month-long celebration will take place with various events in England from 6 – 22 September with a focus on building trade links between the two countries and promoting business and investment, tourism, wine and the creative and scientific industries.

“Australialive will be a great opportunity for Australia to showcase the excited and dynamic business opportunities available in the country,” said Phillip Aiken, chairman of Australialive.

Western Australia in partnership with other States will be hosting a Biomedical Forum on Wednesday 22 September chaired by Sir William Castell of the Wellcome Trust and will feature speakers and researchers in the field of biomedical science including well-known Western Australian Nobel Laureate Clinical Professor Barry Marshall AC and another eminent researcher, Professor Steve Wilton, from the University of Western Australia.

WA will also participate in the promotion of the Australialive campaign at the recently opened Westfield shopping centre in London.

More details of the events in the 2010 program will be revealed in the coming weeks. To keep in touch with developments visit www.australialive.org or sign up to their twitter account @australialiveUK
