Delegations from leading European energy companies will once again be attending the premier Australasian oil and gas industry event, the Australasian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG) to be held in Perth from 23 to 25 February 2011.

The UK based Energy Industries Council (EIC), the leading trade association for UK companies supplying goods and services to the energy industries worldwide,  will return to AOG in 2011 and plans to exhibit along with approximately 30 UK leading oil and gas companies including MSCM Ltd. MSCM Ltd are a subsea manufacturer supporting the massive Gorgon Project off the coast of Western Australia – who will display a range of cutting edge hydraulic stabplates, hydraulic couplings, hydraulic flying leads, shuttle valves, block and bleed valves, and gas lift connectors.

CEO of the EIC, Mike Major said the EIC would use Australia’s largest oil and gas exhibition as a platform to outline its new plans for Asia, which include the opening of a new office in China to enable the association’s Singapore office to concentrate on key markets for the UK supply chain such as Australia.

Visitor delegations from NOF Energy, the business development organisation for the oil, gas, nuclear and offshore wind sectors in the UK will also travel to Perth, as will Subsea UK with a contingent of six companies. Scottish Development International will also have a presence within the UK pavilion.

And the international participation will not be limited to the UK with companies from some 22 countries, including contingents from the USA, Norway, China, Italy, Holland, Denmark, France, Russia and Germany, set to feature among the 450-plus exhibitors.

Organised by Association of Dutch suppliers in the Oil and Gas Industry, the IRO, the Dutch pavilion will feature 18 of the country’s oil and gas leaders; while the Italian pavilion will host 14 companies and the Norwegian seven.

AOG will also play host to a visitor delegation from major Russian oil and gas operator, JSC “Surgutneftegas”.

“AOG has grown to become not just the largest annual exhibition of its kind in Australasia, but a truly global oil and gas event and this is reflected in the many international associations, companies and groups that have confirmed their participation for 2011,” said AOG Exhibition Director, Bill Hare.

Staged in the city of Perth, it is held annually and has grown to become the only event of its kind to attract more than 9,000 visitors. AOG 2011 will be the largest event yet and will showcase the latest technical challenges and solutions connected with oil and gas exploration, production and transportation.

AOG 2011 will take place at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 23 to 25 February.
