Migration

The Government of Western Australia European Office has had a long history in the area of migration, responding to the needs of the State and industry.

Migration is currently a primary focus for the Office, driven by a strong economy providing a dynamic business environment, high levels of investment and positive employment prospects. The State’s thriving resource industry is also creating exciting career opportunities across many disciplines.

The office's marketing program to attract new skilled and business migrants to the State is concentrated mainly in the United Kingdom, but is expanding throughout Europe.

The Senior Migration Officer based in the London office will assist qualifying migrants with state sponsorship and provide information and guidance on living, working and establishing a business in Western Australia.

We work closely with the Department of Training and Workforce Development, Skilled Migration Western Australia based in Perth. The Department of Training and Workforce Development is the agency responsible for promoting migration to potential skilled and business migrants globally.

The European Office also incorporates a team from the WA Health Department coordinating the recruitment and sponsorship of health professionals from the UK and Ireland.
