Conveniently located on the resort's Promenade, the stunning and versatile Southport Theatre & Convention Centre is just a short walk from a wide range of accommodation, dining and leisure facilities -  making the venue the perfect choice for a conference organiser.

We have various rooms and layouts available for conferences and exhibitions, ranging from the Theatre Auditorium with a 1631 capacity, the beautiful Floral Hall Ballroom and the contemporary designed Waterfront Suite to the elegant Lakeside Suite.

Exhibition Hall & Suites

Our modern exhibition hall, the Waterfront Suite comprises of 750sqm of flat floor multi-use space, which can be configured in to six separate syndicates or private meeting rooms, with lifts and direct access for loading and unloading. In conjunction with this suite, we have the versatile Waterfront Foyer which is 200sqm, and can be used as a support area for the exhibition hall or as a private syndicate room. It is equipped with its own bar and catering point.

We also have the Lakeside Suite which is a 200sqm syndicate / function room, that can be separated into two meeting rooms. This has the adjoining Promenade Lounge, which is also 200sqm and has its own bar.

The Southport Theatre & Convention Centre has a 400sqm Main Foyer with bar and catering area, ideal for a registration point or refreshments for your delegates.

Theatre Auditorium

The grand yet intimate Theatre boasts a 1,631 raked seat conference auditorium on two tiers with easy access and loading/unloading, supported by eight backstage VIP rooms and a 141sqm flat stage accommodating 80 persons or up to three vehicles. It is ideal for housing a wide range of events such as conferences, concerts, award ceremonies, fashion shows, car launches and sporting events.

The auditiorium is equipped with its own lighting gantries, technician’s box and Infrared Sennheiser system and can be conveniently reduced for smaller numbers of up to 550.

This busy theatre regularly stages top international entertainers and is one of the most popular venues on the touring circuit.

Floral Hall

The elegant Floral Hall Ballroom comprises c. 1,000sqm of flat floor space with a raked stage accommodating 40 persons. Able to accommodate an array of events from conferences, seminars and banquets for 150-900 guests and exhibitions and trade shows; the Floral Hall has the flexibility to be transformed to suit any of your needs with in-house bars/catering facilities and a Green Room for VIP stage access.

Technical Specification

The technical specification is of an excellent standard, with full Wi-Fi throughout the venue, as you would expect from a professional conference centre. Most audio-visual packages can be built in-house to reflect the needs of the event. An experienced and dedicated team of in-house technicians offer an unparalleled service for every event at every stage of organisation. Where relevant, the team work closely with local AV suppliers or the organiser’s selected suppliers to subcontract equipment and services at extremely competitive rates.
