The Government of Western Australia European Office works with a number of other parties to promote awareness of Western Australia as an attractive destination for investment, for visitors, migrants and students. The Office also monitors current and emerging issues throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Russia and the CIS States to identify prime opportunities for attracting investment for Western Australia and promoting exports.

The Office is involved in a wide range of activities and facilitates linkages between UK and European interests and Western Australian business.

In addition to the Agent General's role in maintaining relations and promoting awareness and interest in Western Australia and the diplomatic and consular function, the role of the European Office is to:

  • promote international investment and trade for Western Australia in its broadest sense

  • provide advice and information on economic and social conditions in the State

  • identify potential partners

  • undertake preliminary market research

  • provide information on industry sectors targeted by the Government

  • assist with preparation and planning of exploratory visits to the State

  • arrange introductions to State Government Officials and relevant industrial, financial and business sectors in Western Australia

  • promote the State and provide information and guidance to potential skilled and business migration and international students

  • provide information and advice about potential roles within the WA Health service and opportunities for visa sponsorship

  • provide information about developments in Western Australia through specialised publications on priority industry sectors in the State

Located in London, the European Office is responsible for promoting the State of Western Australia as a competitive business environment for investment and trade, including as a base to service Asia.

The Office welcomes enquiries from individuals and companies wishing to participate and share in the State's future development.

It provides assistance to Western Australian companies seeking to develop business opportunities and promote exports in the European market place.

Under the Agent General, the Office has a team of highly skilled and proactive officers working across the priority areas of investment and trade including; industry and resources, migration, education services, agriculture, food & beverage, and business & events tourism.
